Commission – Remake – Redesigning and Remaking Jewellery – 3 Sapphire Gold Ring

Having seen this sapphire and diamond, gold ring that we had remade from inherited jewellery, our client got in touch to ask us if we could create a new design for her inherited jewellery. Alongside the client, we decided to use two of her pieces to make the new ring. A 22ct gold wedding band and a sapphire and gold engagement ring that had been well worn and well loved.

The client wanted a simple design, with the sapphires flush set within a chunkier gold band. Holly produced designs and, once the design was approved by the client, the ring was made by melting and milling the gold rings and carefully setting the sapphires.

Handmade 9ct Gold and Black Diamond Ring

Here’s a very different ring we recently made. A gorgeous variation on Holly’s handmade engagement rings, this ring was handmade from 9ct gold and is set with a beautiful black solitaire diamond.

It is the first black diamond ring we’ve made and we think it is stunning.

Commissions – Recent Work

We’ve recently worked with one of our regular clients to design and make a pair of new rings from exisiting pieces of jewellery, including a pair of diamond set earrings. While both rings were handmade they feature contrasting design influences. One ring features a contemporary design in white metal with inset diamonds, the second is of a more tradtional design in yellow gold with a wonderful array of pave set, round brilliant cut diamonds.

When is a Ring Not a Ring – When it’s a Pendant

We were approached to see if it was possible to make something new from a much loved but unworn ring made from white gold, pink sapphires and diamonds. The ring was being replaced but its owner didn’t want to hide her existing ring away in her jewellery box. “Why not let us turn it into a pendant?” we suggested.

By removing part of the ring shank, shaping the stone’s setting and and making a handmade bale: we created a unique pendant that reflects the styling of the original ring.
