Amber is a wonderful natural material. As anyone who has watched Jurassic Park will tell you, amber is fossilised tree resin, millions of years old. Amber has been used by humankind for thousands of years with established trading routes existing during the Bronze Age and examples of worked amber dating back into prehistory.
The largest deposits of amber are found in the Baltic region (approximately 80% of the worlds amber resources can be found here) and these deposits range between 35 and 40 million years old.
For such an ancient material, Baltic Amber combines with sterling silver to form stunning pieces of contemporary jewellery.
