Jessica Hewitt Jeweller

Jessica Hewitt graduated in 2005 from Birmingham City University with a First Class Honours degree in Jewellery & Silversmithing and has gone from strength to strength, she regularly exhibits at many of the UK’s most prestigious jewellery shows and has built up a loyal following of collectors of her floral inspired jewellery. We asked her 5 Questions.
Where is your studio? Near my home in Coventry.
Where do you find your inspiration? Floral imagery found in modern and vintage textiles.
What was the first piece of jewellery you ever made? A brooch made from acylic and base metals based on the theme ‘cascade’, a project at university which had moving parts and was quite big!
Who is/was your favourite jeweller? I really like Nick Hubbard and Kathie Murphy’s work.
If you weren’t a jeweller, what would you be? A CSI!
and finally What is your biscuit of choice when enjoying a cup of tea and a think? It has to be a chocolate digestive dunked!

The Susan collection by the fantastic Jessica Hewitt is proving to be a firm favourite here at Plush Jewellery. This fab collection of jewellery was launched after two years research and developemnt in to the use of laser technology with acrylic. The designs for this collection of jewellery were inspired by Indian and Japanese textiles which Jessica then translated into simple linear graphics. The Susan Collection by Jessica Hewitt is produced in acrylic, resin, silver and cubic zirconia and each piece is laser marked and hand finished. Plush Pick of the day: Jessica Hewitt Susan Pendant Acrylic, Resin and Silver – Green

After two years research and development into the use of laser technology with acrylic, Jessica Hewitt launched the Susan Collection. The designs in this range are inspired by Indian and Japanese textiles which are translated into simple linear graphics. Produced in acrylic, resin and silver each piece is laser marked and hand finished. The pendant hangs from a 16 inch silver chain.
